Briggs is best known for his tenure as CEO of Harmony Gold Mining Company from 2008 to 2015, where he led one of South Africa’s largest gold producers through significant operational and strategic transformations. His career began at Gencor in 1972, progressing through various technical and leadership roles across multiple mining operations. He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Chamber of Mines (Minerals Council South Africa). In his new role at Copper 360, Briggs is expected to leverage his extensive experience to guide the company through its next phase of development and growth in the base metals sector.

Successful experience in large project engineering design, definitive study, project development and operations. International experience in mechanised surface (open cut) and shallow to ultra-deep underground mining operations expertise developed in Western Australia, West Africa, Mali, DRC, Brazil and Southern Africa. He is a proven results driven leader with direct technical and commercial work experience in the international mining industry.

Stephan has 33 years of practical experience and holds a M Com (Management Accounting) degree and is a Chartered Accountant (SA). He has, inter alia, served as the head of Mergers and Acquisitions for Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merryll Lynch in South Africa and has extensive international corporate advisory experience. He has a particularly strong background in the mining sector, having advised several global mining corporations. Stephan has been involved in the listing, building and structuring of several companies on local and international exchanges. Over the last 8 years, he has been acting both as investor principal and advisor in the mineral resources field. Stephan’s key strengths are being logical, solution driven, practical and having an aptitude for working with numbers.

Paula is a results-driven Human Resource Executive currently serving as the HR Executive at Copper 360 Ltd. With over two decades of experience, she has successfully led HR strategy development, workforce planning, and talent management. Her expertise includes recruitment, education, training, personnel administration, payroll systems, employee benefits, and performance management. Paula holds an MBA from Potchefstroom University Business School, a BCom Honours from the University of Johannesburg, and a BCom degree from Potchefstroom University for Christian Higher Education. Seten has built a diversified skillset over 16 years in mining and financial markets. Seten’s early career focused on fundamental equity and commodity analysis at SBG Securities, thereafter transitioning to balancing risk, unlocking value and timing of market trends as a Fund Manager at Capricorn Fund Managers and Visio Fund Managers. More recently he held the position of Executive at Implats, leading its strategic thinking into future global megatrends and the commodities which stand to benefit. Seten’s passion lies in applying his in-depth knowledge of commodities, battery chemistry, and the future of automobiles to strategically position companies to capitalise on opportunities presented by the energy transition global megatrend. Seten achieved top ratings as a Mining and Commodity Analyst and was the Chairman of the Hydrogen Expert Team at the Minerals Council of South Africa.

André is a Goldfields-trained mining engineer with 33 years of industry experience. His career spans a wide range of mining environments — from the copper mines of Namaqualand to deep-level platinum operations, as well as trackless underground zinc and platinum mining. His journey has come full circle, returning to his roots at the Namaqualand copper mines. A natural leader, André believes in building success through competent, empowered teams. He is known for fostering a productive work environment where people are encouraged to grow, collaborate, and thrive.

Tinus is a Goldfields-trained, certified electrical engineer with over 10 years of experience in gold mining and 33 years in the base metal and diamond mining industries of Namaqualand. He has played a key role in designing, constructing, and optimising various processing plants and underground installations across the region.

Jacques is a Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the mineral processing field. He has gained valuable metallurgical technical expertise while working for 10 years in Research and Development and Process Engineering with the DeBeers Group and ISCOR/Kumba Resources in South Africa. He has extensive experience in production and in the management of mineral processing plants covering various commodities with a special focus on copper, this with global mining companies in Madagascar, Ghana, Mali, DRC and South Africa. Jacques has demonstrated a track record of delivering results and meeting production objectives in complex. challenging and high-performance working environments.

Tim is a South African Geologist and Mineral Resource Manager with over 15 years of experience in the mining industry. Tim brings extensive experience in exploration geology, resource development, and innovative resource optimisation techniques, including specialised expertise in density-based pre-concentration of copper ore. His work in this area supports improved project economics by enhancing grade, reducing downstream processing costs, and maximising the efficient utilisation of mineral resources. Prior to joining Copper 360, Tim co-founded a Geo-scientific consultancy, he led the application of advanced geoscientific and drone-based survey technologies to support exploration targeting, geological interpretation, and project development across Southern Africa. Tim’s career reflects a combination of technical depth, practical experience, and applied innovation, enabling him to play a key role in Copper 360’s strategy to responsibly develop and optimise its copper resources.
